Shell Auto Park toy garage, 1970s
Six-floor toy garage in Shell colours and logo, of the kind sold in toy shops in the 1970s and 80s. Parking tower with the yellow lift climbing the chain to the sixth floor, Auto Park and 24 Hours Service signs, walls lithographed with a workshop and a shop, and on the base a complete service station: canopy, two Shell pumps, price board, totem and barrier, with the in and out arrows painted on the ground. Made for small-scale cars, the Matchbox and Majorette of the same years. It works: the lift goes up and down and the barrier lifts. Furnishes a child's bedroom or a toy-shop window from 1975 to 1990, and a close-up of hands at play. The Shell brand is part of the piece: the production handles the relevant clearance when it is legible on camera.
