Russell yo-yo collection, 1980s
Collection of Russell yo-yos from the 1980s craze in Portugal, when the brand's demonstrators toured the schools and playground championships were won with a Coca-Cola Super. The original promotional models for Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite in the Super and Profissional versions, plus the clear Galaxy and the black Russell Olimpic, all with the Portuguese lettering of the period, Beba Coca-Cola, Marca Reg., Genuíno Yo-Yo Russell. Rare, well-kept collector's pieces that work. The collection is much larger than the photo shows. Tell us the brand, model, colour and quantity the scene calls for and we put the set together, whether for close-ups and set dressing, a bedroom shelf, a stationer's window, a café table in 1985, or for scenes where the yo-yo is actually played. Rented on request, with a technician on set. The soft-drink brands are part of the piece: the production handles the relevant clearance when they are legible on camera.
